YEF Africa joined fellow Christian leaders on the third day of the Continental Leadership Training to exchange ideas and explore ways to strengthen ministry across the continent. Discussions focused on building connections, supporting local leaders, and creating more opportunities for young people to learn about Christianity and grow in faith.
Participants shared experiences from their mission fields and considered how closer cooperation could benefit the communities they serve. For YEF Africa, the sessions offered practical encouragement for developing campus outreach, Bible study, and fellowship through stronger relationships among chapters and local churches.
One area of discussion was improving communication across countries. YEF Africa considered how a website and other communication tools could help students discover its activities, connect with local members, and find opportunities to participate. Sharing ministry updates could also help chapters learn from one another and offer mutual encouragement.
The training highlighted the value of welcoming spaces where young people can study Scripture, build friendships, and receive spiritual support. Cooperation with local churches was discussed as an important part of helping students develop lasting connections to a Christian community.
Participants also explored ways to support the long-term continuity of local ministry. Thoughtful planning, responsible use of resources, and greater local participation can help chapters sustain their activities and respond to the needs of the people they serve.
Leadership development remained an important theme throughout the discussions. Clear communication, shared responsibilities, and continued learning can equip members to serve with greater confidence and care. YEF Africa hopes to apply these lessons as it supports existing chapters and prepares for future opportunities.
The continent’s linguistic diversity also brought attention to the importance of language learning. Developing these skills can help members share the Gospel more clearly, build relationships across cultures, and exchange experiences with fellow workers in other countries.
Through the training, YEF Africa received encouragement to move forward with a spirit of cooperation and a shared commitment to Christian service. The fellowship looks forward to strengthening its connections and helping more young people encounter God’s Word through local outreach and supportive communities.
Please pray for YEF Africa’s leaders, members, and ministry development. May God grant wisdom, unity, and perseverance as they work together to serve young people and share the hope of the Gospel.
