On the 14th of November, YEF Manila and Cebu leaders evangelized around the vicinity of Cebu City, the oldest city and first capital of the Philippines. It’s been called the birthplace of Christianity within the country and so, holds great historical and spiritual meaning. This makes it ample ground for YEF to continue this great history towards the evangelization and revival of many college students within the city.
One missionary, Bhel, shared, “I am praying that God may give us the light to find the lost souls to serve in His kingdom. I trust that when we pray, God will provide.” Another missionary, Jonathan, added, “In evangelizing there are many ways of winning back a person for God. One is to talk to them personally, the other, to post some posters. For me, the hardest is talking with them, not because I am ashamed of the gospel, rather it is because I have this shyness that I have yet to overcome. But with the grace of God, even me being an introvert won’t stop me from spreading His Word.”
Even in our insufficiencies, God continues to work through His people. For God said in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” And because of this Paul declared, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
With this, may YEF Philippines grow stronger in faith and find those who are desperate for the Word, to come and join bible studies, church and many more fellowship events.
