Youth Evangelical Fellowship held their retreat closing service on December 26th at 11am EST. The members listened to a message from 2 Corinthians 4:1-15.
“Today is a special service time,” P. White began, “not only are we commemorating the 12th anniversary of YEF, but it’s the last Sunday of the year. While thinking about this, I’ve come to reflect on our journey here to this sanctuary, to Florida, how God has brought us together here today. Honestly, I feel so thankful and inadequate in the face of God’s mercy. And I’ve come to have so much joy. God has given us this great blessing within this one year and He will continue His well established and very deep plan. At first, it was a bit difficult to think of us as standing in this grand history at this moment.”
The congregation focused on this message as YEF are the ones called to unveil the Gospel. As, Christians, they are called to preach the gospel honestly, without concealing anything; called to unveil, reveal the Gospel of Christ and who Christ is. When the gospel is hidden, it is hidden from those who are perishing. The gods of the world blind those who do not believe. Youth Evangelical Fellowship must reveal the cross and nothing else.
It should be a ministry that reveals the cross, without making it obscuring anything. This is grace. Faith is the channel through which it is received. Faith is first. Sola Fide, Sola Gracia, Sola Scriptura. When struggles come, look to the cross of the Lord. Because the Lord suffered too. Look at the cross of tears. Then one becomes closer to the cross.
YEF’s identity is Evangelical. Evangelical’s motto is Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Sola Scriptura. Salvation comes only through the redemptive event of Christ. It is the grace of the Lord. It is the cross that the Lord came to this earth to save, shed His blood, humbled Himself, emptied Himself, and became obedient to death. That love has forgiven the sins of all. This is the ‘gospel’ and ‘only by Gospel’.
After the message, the member were able to watch a historic presentation of YEF’s history from the beginning until now. Please continue to YEF to grow well as an HQ and an international organization called to unveil the cross of Christ.
