Hong Kong Easter Retreat Concluded with Abundant Redemptive Grace

Hong Kong Easter retreat concluded graciously with abundant grace and love. The retreat was held by YEF on April 6 to 8 at the High Rock Christian camp. 10 attendants participated fully, and 9 partly joined. 3 were from Macau and 1 from Shenzhen. 7 lambs and newcomers were invited by YEF Hong Kong.

The retreat was filled with meditation and sharing. On the first candle night, members read bible verses and messages, remembering the night when Jesus Christ faced suffering.

On the second day, there were two bible lecturers on “The Precious Blood of the Cross” by Pastor Nathan Lei. Jesus suffered because of the sin of the disciples, religious leaders, Roman governor, and the Jews. It was the sin of every human being that made Jesus crucified on the cross. But Jesus gave His life to all sinners and opened a world of unconditional love.

On Good Friday Night, Pastor Sharon preached on the ritual of atonement sacrifice in Leviticus and how Jesus’ suffering has the same redemptive power on us. Then the second generation presented how Jesus was whipped. It was a tearful night of confessing sin and receiving redemptive love. Everyone sang “Do You Know the Meaning of the Cross” repeatedly with hearts moved.

Then on the last day, the third bible lecturer on “My Resurrection” was given, and the retreat was concluded with a closing service.

There were also many moments of fellowship. Members worshipped and danced together, shared together, eat together, and served together. They were glad to have such a memorable and meaningful Easter retreat.
