This Sunday, YEF Orlando members and Florida members came to meditate upon the miracle of the 5 loaves and 2 fish; the feeding of the 5000. Members Shannon, Emmanual, Adeen, Asa, and Bible study student Arjun joined the Sunday Service at this time.
They meditated on the almightiness of Jesus who wanted the disciples to gain faith to participate in the miracle together. In the sermon, having the heart and faith of the little boy was also emphasized. The preacher stated, “Even though what we have can be really small, if we have faith, God can use it to make a miracle happen in our lives and in the lives of those around us. I hope that we all can share the same heart as the poor boy who gave all he had and through this was able to help feed 5000-plus people”
The point of why disciples of Jesus should follow was also pointed out and emphasized as well. True disciples of Jesus do not just follow him because of the physical things or blessings but more so because of the eternal life that Jesus Christ gave to all who obey and follow his will.
The students and members also prayed that they could remember this message and apply it to their everyday lives. They hope to become Christ’s followers and lead a life of eternity given by Jesus Christ.
