YEF HQ Meets with Southeast Asia Church Leaders to Strengthen Discipleship

YEF HQ recently had the privilege of meeting with church leaders from the Southeast Asia (SEA) region to discuss the headquarters’ mission and outline aspirations for international outreach. This gathering provided an important opportunity to highlight the significance of a well-defined discipleship plan and the vital role that Bible students play in building a thriving community.

In raising up young leadership, YEF was asked to join in a talk with the church leaders and share about strategy and plan in raising them. The key focus of the conversation was the importance of fellowship among Bible students. They need to gather regularly, collaborate on various initiatives, and exemplify the lifestyle that the Word of God promotes. This communal aspect of discipleship fosters deep connections and accountability, enriching their spiritual journeys.

The leaders expressed a profound sense of grace throughout the discussions, allowing them to reflect meaningfully on their own experiences. They noted that they gained valuable insights, particularly regarding the importance of unity and cooperation in their spiritual development.

Additionally, the necessity of understanding the church’s history and culture was emphasized. This knowledge goes beyond mere facts; it provides Bible students with a deeper appreciation of why the church and YEF operates as it does. Grasping the roots and context of their beliefs not only strengthens their faith but also equips them to engage more effectively with others.

As they look ahead, it is clear that nurturing a sense of community and shared purpose among Bible students is essential. By prioritizing fellowship and a thorough understanding of their history and culture, the organization can cultivate a stronger, more cohesive group of believers ready to advance its mission in the world.
