This past Sunday, the members and leaders of YEF Orlando gathered for a time of deep meditation and reflection on the story of Jesus walking on water. The message invited participants to consider their own paths of faith, focusing on trust, courage, and the need to place their hopes fully in God.
As they revisited the story from Matthew 14, the members reflected particularly on the heart of Peter and the disciples. When Jesus appeared walking on the water during a storm, the disciples were filled with fear. Yet Peter, encouraged by the Lord’s voice, gained the courage to step out of the boat and walk toward Jesus, trusting Him despite the terrifying waves.
The central message was an invitation for all to follow Peter’s example—to leave their metaphorical boats, surrender their fears to God, and step into the unknown with faith. The teaching highlighted that only by humbling themselves and placing their trust in the Lord can believers experience true spiritual growth and salvation.
After the service, the congregation enjoyed a time of fellowship over a shared meal, where even the newest members joined in by helping prepare dishes for everyone. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy as people bonded through conversation and connection. To further strengthen their fellowship, the group played a game that encouraged them to learn fun and interesting facts about each other, deepening their sense of community.
Through this time of reflection and fellowship, YEF Orlando members were encouraged to grow in their faith, trust in God, and build lasting relationships with one another. The message of stepping out in courage and placing complete trust in God resonated deeply, creating a sense of renewed spiritual focus and unity within the group.
