The Olivet Leadership Conference Africa 2025 laid a strong foundation for African members, focusing on understanding their true identity as sons of God. The theme, โHaving the Hearts of Sons, Not Slaves,โ emphasized the importance of knowing oneโs identity before serving others. As mentioned in John 15:15, God calls His people sons and friends, and embracing this identity inspires devotion and a deeper relationship with the Lord.
The impactful session on OLI was focused on discipleship, teaching key lessons such as trusting God (Luke 9:57-62), prioritizing mission work (Matthew 4:18-22), and strong spiritual family (Acts 2:42-45). The training encouraged full commitment to Godโs call (1 Kings 19:19-24), also knowing the cost of discipleship and serving both spiritual and physical families with love while bringing others to Christ.

The training was a significant chapter for the member as it created a deep connection with church members, missionaries, and pastors from across Africa and the world. The interaction with missionaries and pastors provided invaluable insights and practical experiences on how to shepherd believers effectively and nurture true disciples of Christ.
Additionally, the prayer meetings, led by pastors from Europe and various countries, were a spiritual highlight. These sessions were marked by their power and fervor, ushering in a profound renewal of the participants’ current spiritual state. The unity and shared faith in these gatherings served as a catalyst for personal and communal growth, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.
This training has inspired the Ethiopian member to bring spiritual transformation to their fellowship by sharing the teachings they received. They aim to encourage young people to boldly embrace their identity as children of God and lead others into His kingdom, encouraging lasting change within the fellowship.
