YEF Arizona: A Day of Renewal and Spirit-led Evangelism Leads to 13 New Contacts

Youth Evangelical Fellowship (YEF) continues to carry the fire of the Gospel with passion and grace across the nation—and the Arizona mission team is no exception. On Wednesday, July 9th, pioneers Lucy and Hyewon experienced a day filled with divine appointments, joyful fellowship, and overflowing fruit, demonstrating once again the power of God’s hand at work through faithful hearts.

Lucy and Hyewon immediately returned to the frontlines of mission, heading to Arizona State University (ASU) to continue their evangelism. Upholding YEF’s 3-3-3 evangelism standard, they poured out their hearts for over three hours on the campus. By God’s grace, they received 13 new contacts and scheduled 6 Bible studies—with 3 more to come the following day.

The grace didn’t stop there. On their way home, they shared the Gospel with their Lyft driver, who eagerly initiated the conversation and even asked for their contact information to learn more about God. These unexpected moments reminded the pioneers that the Spirit moves beyond scheduled plans and structured environments—He moves through every willing vessel.

Hyewon reflected on her outreach, sharing how she felt strengthened not by her own efforts, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. She met many Christians and even had the opportunity to share the Gospel with several Muslim students. “The strength I felt today,” she testified, “was clearly not my own. It was the fire of the Holy Spirit.”

Lucy also testified to the overwhelming grace that covered the day. “Despite the intense heat and the changes at the library,” she shared, “today was full of mercy. The opportunity to share the love of Christ again and again reminds me why we continue. Even when the campus seems empty, God hears our cries.” She recounted a powerful encounter with a student named Hallie. After a brief, missed connection in the morning, Lucy prayed for a chance to meet her again. Hours later, by nothing but divine orchestration, their paths crossed once more—and this time, they were able to connect.

These stories echo the very heart of YEF: bold evangelism rooted in love, persistent outreach powered by prayer, and a deep trust in the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit. What happened in Arizona is not merely a local effort—it is part of YEF’s greater vision to raise up Gospel-centered leaders, lay down spiritual foundations in every region, and bring even one more soul back to God.

Please continue to pray for Arizona—to be restored, renewed, and firmly rooted in Christ. Pray for the many students now engaged in Bible studies, and for the pioneers laying down seeds of revival. May their mission leave behind a spiritual legacy that endures far beyond their time on campus. All for the glory of God and the expansion of His Kingdom through YEF.
