YEF Orlando’s evangelism team continued their efforts to bring more students to the Bible studies on the local Seminole State campus. They were able to receive 8 contacts. They found a mixture of students who are currently interested and some who would be interested once they return from the break. They hope that these students can be protected and guided until they are able to attend the Bible study.
Towards the last few months of their time on the Seminole campus for the summer semester, they were able to find students who wanted to attend the Bible study regularly and come every week. These students were invited to also join the Wednesday service. Last week, Brother Dylan joined for the first time, and now they are praying that Brother Tristan can also join.
Due to a change in her work schedule, Rachel will no longer be able to attend Wednesday service, but graciously, she will have the opportunity to attend Sunday service. For Seminole, the evangelism team has been focusing on getting them to join the services in hopes to continue their growth.
Sister Korri, who recently became a registered member, also has been encouraged to attend Sunday service, so they are also praying she can join this week.
Please continue to pray for all students-that through weekly service attendance and continuous study of the Word of God, they may be stabilized in their faith and grow deeply in their relationship with Christ. Pray that each student may not lose the grace they have received, but instead be firmly planted in the community and guided step by step into a life of devotion and transformation. May the Holy Spirit work powerfully in their hearts during this season of transition and new beginnings.
Student Reflections from the Bible Study:
“The main message I took away from this study is that we have two versions of ourselves: the flesh, which is our earthly body, and our spirit. Our flesh isn’t what lives forever, but it determines how our spirit will live for eternity. The verse that stuck with me is 1 Corinthians 15:44. This stood out to me because you often hear about how people live for the flesh and earthly desires, but in the end, it will be your spirit that is raised from the ground-not what you had during your earthly life.”
“The message I took from this lesson was to not stress or dwell over physical things, because at the end of the day, everything goes away. One thing that stood out to me was when you said that we have three stages of life: the first in the womb, then life, and death-and you compared the womb to life, which prepares us for eternal life. If we don’t prepare rightly in life, we won’t necessarily have the right things for heaven and eternity. The flesh is not eternal. One verse that stood out was Matthew 6:25, because it’s a reminder that all of this doesn’t matter as long as we are following God. All this suffering is temporary, but death, heaven, and being with Him is eternal.”
