The YEF August Retreat 2025 opened with a strong spiritual foundation as participants gathered for Bible study and fellowship. General Secretary P. Danielle White led the first session from Romans 9:6–13, declaring with Apostle Paul: “It is not as though the word of God has failed.”

Her message reminded us that being God’s people is not about heritage or outward identity but about living by faith and holding firmly to His promises. Through the stories of Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, and Esau, she emphasized that God’s calling rests not on human effort but on His sovereign grace and love. This teaching challenged the fellowship to walk in humility, gratitude, and obedience as true children of the promise.

In the second Bible study, Bridaija Jones expounded on Romans 9:11–33, addressing the profound question: “Why not?”—why some receive grace while others do not. She showed that salvation depends not on human will but on God’s mercy, pointing to His ultimate plan of reconciliation for both Jews and Gentiles. Drawing from the parable of the vineyard workers and the faith of the Canaanite woman, Bridaija highlighted that true righteousness comes only by faith.
Both sessions called participants to reject spiritual pride, embrace God’s unmerited favor with gratitude, and live boldly in His grace. The teachings inspired deep reflection, awe, and assurance in the truth that salvation is God’s work from beginning to end.

The evening closed with fellowship over dinner and a joyful movie night, deepening bonds within the community. As the retreat continues, we invite you to join us in prayer—for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, for hearts to be stirred, and for lives to be transformed through God’s Word.
