Joint Pentecost Retreat in Macau Encourages Spiritual Renewal Through Bible Study Evangelism and Fellowship

From May 23–24, a Joint Pentecost Retreat was held at Macau Immanuel Church, bringing together ministers, missionaries, and members from several ministries and fellowships across Macau and China for a time of worship, Bible study, evangelism, prayer, and fellowship. Throughout the retreat, participants reflected on spiritual renewal, faith, and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit through the life of the church.

The first day of the retreat included three Bible teaching sessions, street evangelism outreach, and an evening of praise and prayer. During evangelism activities, participants also received new student contact information for future follow-up and Bible study invitation. Many attendees shared that the retreat became a meaningful source of encouragement, strength, and renewed passion for sharing the Gospel.

One of the Bible studies focused on Ezekiel 37 and reflected on the theme of revival through God’s Word and renewed hope, using the image of the valley of dry bones to encourage believers facing discouragement or spiritual exhaustion. Additional studies centered on the book of Romans, including reflections on faith, sin, salvation, and the meaning of living by faith in Christ. Through the messages and fellowship, participants shared that they were able to deepen their understanding of Scripture and grow spiritually throughout the retreat.

Members also testified that the outreach activities helped them become more confident and free in sharing the Gospel publicly in Macau. Although many people may initially appear uninterested in spiritual conversations, participants reflected positively on the openness and kindness they experienced while speaking with local residents during evangelism.

On the second day of the retreat, participants visited the YEF Macau Center for the first time together, marking a meaningful moment for the fellowship. Located within a residential building near the church, the center is currently used for worship services, Bible study, fellowship gatherings, and ministry activities. Visitors shared encouragement regarding the welcoming atmosphere of the space and its potential to continue serving future ministry and fellowship efforts in Macau.

Participants also reflected on the long history of mission work connected to the building, which had previously been used for ministry and community service purposes for many years. Through the visit, many prayed that the space may continue being used to serve future generations through worship, fellowship, discipleship, and Gospel outreach.

YEF Macau gives thanks for everyone who participated in the Joint Pentecost Retreat and continues praying that the Holy Spirit may continue guiding and strengthening the ministry in Macau. The fellowship also hopes that more students and young people throughout the city may encounter God through Bible study, worship, prayer, and Christian fellowship in the future.
