From May 22–24, YEF Hong Kong participated in a Pentecost Retreat held in Hong Kong under the theme “The Fire of the Holy Spirit, the Fire of Revival.” Throughout the retreat, participants gathered together for worship, Bible teaching, prayer, and fellowship while reflecting on the meaning of Pentecost and the continuing work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers today.
The retreat began Friday evening with a worship service focused on praise and prayer. Throughout Saturday, multiple Bible teaching sessions were held, continuing through the Pentecost Sunday worship service and concluding with a special prayer gathering on Sunday afternoon. The messages centered on the Holy Spirit, spiritual renewal, discipleship, and the mission of believers to continue sharing the Gospel throughout the world.
Many participants shared that the retreat became a meaningful time of encouragement, reflection, and spiritual renewal. During the worship gatherings and Bible studies, attendees reflected more deeply on the work of the Holy Spirit and the importance of living faithfully with renewed purpose and direction. Several participants testified that the messages and prayer times helped them better understand how the Holy Spirit guides, strengthens, and transforms believers in daily life.
One participant shared that the retreat helped them experience the presence of God more personally through worship and prayer, while another reflected on how the messages encouraged them to continue growing spiritually and living with greater faith and commitment. Others also testified that the retreat gave them renewed strength, peace, and motivation to continue pursuing spiritual growth and participating more actively in worship and fellowship.
One of the central themes emphasized throughout the retreat was the Great Commission and the calling for believers to continue sharing the Gospel with the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. Participants were encouraged to move forward not only with personal faith, but also with hearts prepared to serve others, strengthen fellowship, and continue growing as disciples of Christ.
YEF Hong Kong gives thanks for everyone who participated in the retreat and continues praying that the work of the Holy Spirit may continue guiding and renewing the lives of young people throughout Hong Kong. The fellowship also hopes that more students and young adults searching for truth, hope, and spiritual direction may continue encountering God through worship, Bible study, prayer, and Christian fellowship.
