Youth Evangelical Fellowship (YEF) General Secretary Pastor Danielle White delivered the closing message at the Africa Continental Leadership Gathering in Lusaka, Zambia, encouraging ministers and missionaries to deepen their dependence on Christ and serve their communities with love.
The gathering provided an opportunity for Christian leaders to share fellowship, receive encouragement, and strengthen relationships across nations. In her closing message, Pastor Danielle highlighted the importance of bringing together Gospel outreach and faithful care for those growing in their faith.
Drawing from John 21:1–17, she reflected on the disciples’ encounter with the risen Jesus beside the Sea of Galilee. After a night without catching fish, the disciples followed His direction and experienced an abundant catch. The passage offered encouragement to those serving through challenges, reminding them to seek God’s guidance and continue their work with faith and hope.
Pastor Danielle also emphasized Jesus’ conversation with Peter, in which He asked, “Do you love me?” and entrusted Peter with caring for His sheep. This exchange highlighted the heart of Christian service: love for Christ expressed through compassion, patient teaching, and responsibility for others.
The message encouraged participants to nurture welcoming communities where people can encounter the Gospel, ask questions, and receive support as they grow. Alongside reaching new people, leaders were reminded of the value of walking faithfully with individuals through discipleship and everyday encouragement.
Peter’s restoration offered a further message of hope. Despite his earlier failure, Jesus renewed his calling to serve. His experience reminded participants that Christ’s grace can restore strength and purpose, helping believers move forward with humility and perseverance.
Following the message, Pastor Danielle led a time of prayer as visiting Christian leaders prayed over African ministers and missionaries. Together, they asked God for spiritual strength, unity among local leaders, and wisdom to serve their communities faithfully. Prayers were also offered for the growth of Gospel ministry and spiritual revival throughout Africa.
YEF’s participation reflected its desire to build relationships with churches and fellowships across the continent and support opportunities for young people to know Christ. The closing service encouraged participants to carry the fellowship and lessons of the gathering into their ongoing ministry.
Please join YEF in praying for Africa’s ministers, missionaries, and the communities they serve. May God strengthen their faith, deepen their unity, and open new opportunities for people of all generations to hear the Gospel and grow in His love.
