Youth Evangelical Fellowship is a group of proactive, outreaching Christians, whose youth and passion are spent on bringing glory to God’s name. We want to see the Great Commission of Jesus fulfilled in each and every major city in the world as he promised in his prayer, “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) YEF has been a symbol of revival in urban mission since its establishment, working to redeem college campuses for the greater cause of Jesus Christ.
Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE:
- 1. We believe that the Bible, consisting of Old and New Testaments only, is verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit, is inerrant in the original manuscripts, and is the infallible and authoritative words from the Lord.
- 2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- 3. We believe that Adam, created in the image of God, was tempted by Satan, the devil, and fell. Because of Adam’s sin, all men have guilt imputed.
- 4. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- 5. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
- 6. We believe that salvation consists in the remission of sins, the imputation of Christ’s righteousness, and the gift of eternal life received by faith alone, apart from works.
- 7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- 8. We believe that the Church, the body of Christ, consists only of those who are born again, who are baptized by the Holy Spirit into Christ at the time of regeneration, for whom He now makes intercession in heaven and for whom He will come again.
- 9. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 10. We believe that Christ instructed the Church to go into the entire world and preach the Gospel to every person, baptizing and teaching those who believe.
- 11. We believe that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent, and that it will be visible and personal.
Our Story So Far
Youth Evangelical Fellowship (YEF) was originally founded as apart of Apostolos Campus Ministry (ACM) in 2002 by Dr. David Jang and students from Olivet Theological College and Seminary (OTCS). However in 2003, the organization branched (becoming YEF) and was first inaugurated in New York City, 2009 with students from Columbia University, who were moved by the Holy Spirit to begin meeting for small group bible studies and witnessing Jesus Christ to their fellow classmates.
YEF developed with the focus of reaching out to university students who are thirsty for the Word of God and desiring to continue God’s mission.
By the grace of God, YEF’s mission had reached out to more than 40 countries by 2015 covering most of the continents such as North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, South East Asia, and South Asia.
“It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the soil, though it is smaller than all the seeds that are upon the soil, yet when it is sown, it grows up and becomes larger than all the garden plants and forms large branches; so that the birds of the air can nest under its shade.” – Mark 4:31-32
YEF’s commission is to raise young generation who love the Cross of Jesus Christ; boldly proclaim His sacrifice and the power of His salvation; and dream together for the Kingdom of God.
YEF firmly believes in international growth and equipping of youth from diverse backgrounds to devote themselves to Jesus Christ and His Great Commission. YEF aims to help young people to passionately embody Kingdom-driven lifestyles.
Youth Evangelical Fellowship is a member of World Olivet Assembly (http://www.worldolivet.org/) and is an associate member with World Evangelical Alliance.
