YEF Orlando Looks Toward a New Week of Campus Mission with Continued Study of Romans

YEF Orlando gathered at the University of Central Florida for another day of campus ministry, beginning with prayer for the Holy Spirit’s guidance throughout the day’s evangelism and Bible study.

After praying together, the members went across campus to meet students and introduce them to YEF. During the outreach, they unexpectedly met Brother Angel after he had finished class and was walking around campus. The team invited him to join them, and he participated in part of the evangelism time.

The members also connected with several new students. Some accepted flyers, scanned the ministry’s QR code, or exchanged social media information with the team. YEF Orlando hopes to continue these connections through faithful follow-up and invitations to future Bible studies and fellowship activities.

Following evangelism, the team gathered for its 2 PM Bible study. The members were especially encouraged to welcome Brother Dmerci, whom they had first met during the previous week’s outreach. Seeing him return and take the next step of joining Bible study brought joy to the team and demonstrated the importance of continuing to care for the students reached through evangelism.

Brother Angel, Brother Noah, Brother John, Brother Jairen, and Sister Kailee also joined the gathering. Together, the group studied Romans 1:2–7, learning about the Gospel promised beforehand through the Scriptures, the identity of Jesus Christ, and the calling believers receive through Him.

The passage presents Jesus as a descendant of David according to His earthly life and as the Son of God powerfully revealed through His resurrection. Through Christ, believers receive grace and are called to belong fully to Him. The group reflected on the immeasurable love of Jesus, who entered a sinful and broken world and willingly gave His life so that sinners could receive salvation.

Participants shared that God’s love cannot be measured according to human standards. God sent His Son into the world knowing the suffering He would face, yet He still chose to save those who could never earn or deserve such grace. His love is revealed not only through sacrifice but also through mercy and forgiveness.

The study also led the participants to consider how Christ’s humility should shape their daily lives. Jesus willingly washed His disciples’ feet and performed the work of a servant. His example challenges believers to serve those around them, even when the work is inconvenient or undesirable, remembering that no sincere act of love is beneath a follower of Christ.

YEF Orlando gives thanks for everyone who joined the study and for the growing community being formed around God’s Word. The team asks for prayer that Dmerci, Angel, Noah, John, Jairen, and Kailee will develop deep roots in their faith, know Christ more personally, and continue growing through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship.
